Pugacheva is the Eurovision superstar
This year Russia is an undisputed leader of the Eurovision song contest. The ratings of "Buranovskiye Babushki" are going up every day. At the second press conference, which was held on May,18 in Baku, there were so many journalists that there were not enough chairs.
The granny Natalia Yakovlevna Pugacheva became a real superstar of the song contest . She is the oldest participant of the Eurovision in its entire history. But she is loved here not for that but for her incredible charm, sincerity and sense of humor. For example, she was asked by a Dutch journalist, if the granny knew that she was the most charming girl at the Eurovision. Natalia Yakovlevna answered: "I don't understand what you were talking about, I can be a bad girl sometimes".
The correspondent of Vesti.Ru talked to that journalist. He sincerely loves the grannies: "Your grandmothers have changed me, as if I was reborn. Before I was different, it's true. They touched my heart. They are the real stars of the Eurovision because of who they are".
European journalists in their blogs and articles write about Pugacheva: "She is the one!" Russian-speaking media says that now we have two Pugachevas - Alla and Natalia. They have already started comparing them. At the second press-conference of "Buranovskiye Babushki" a journalist from Azerbaijan asked Natalia Yakovlevna: "Do you understand that you have already eclipsed Alla Pugacheva?" The granny said: "She does her work, I do mine. We both work". After that she laughed. Now everyone in Baku knows the laughter of the grandmother Pugacheva. It's so contagious and can't leave anyone indifferent.
As any superstar, Natalia Yakovlevna has a very tight schedule. In the morning she with her colleagues meet a phoniatrist, after that a vocal coach, a choreographer and a stage director. Together with the other grannies she has already had two rehearsals in Baku Crystal Hall and two press conferences.
In our country every superstar must be photographed by the leading celebrity photographer Vladimir Shirokov. "Buranovskiye Babushki" has already had several sessions with him. Vladimir always accompanies them in Baku.
In free time grannies rest, make dolls of color threads, bake Udmurt perepechi, walk along the sea shore, collect shells on the beach. So they have no time to be bored. Although Natalia Yakovlevna says that she is homesick: "I think about my family. I want to get home."
In Russia Pugacheva is waited by four children, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and of course by her beloved husband grandfather Afanasyi. At first he did not want his wife to go to the Eurovision. He probably could not imagine that his life partner from a small village Buranovo would get so much success in Europe.
